The Significance…
The View Between Villages is a song written by Noah Kahan, an artist who has recently become quite popular over the last 2 years or so. What’s so beautiful about his music, is that it’s up for interpretation, much like art and design.
Everyone has a certain feeling about where they came from, their hometown, and where they grew up. This song perfectly describes how I feel about mine. Through typography, colors, and animation, the audience can get a better understanding of how I feel about where I came from and the experiences I had growing up, and possibly resonate with them as well.
I dedicated this project to my parents, as they are my “village”. My place to run back to when things start to feel too chaotic in this big world. By adding in voicemails I have received from them over the last few years, and audio from home videos, it really makes the song my own.
